Spelunky Version 1 Released, LA-MULANA Goes the Way of Wii, Solar Plexus No More

During the last few months while this place was collecting dust, quite a bit of stuff happened in the world of indie, not going to bother going over them all, but here are some more interesting (and more recent) news that are pretty interesting.

First of all, version 1.0 of Derek Yu's platformer/roguelike game Spelunky has finally been released. What's more, there's a Xbox Live Arcade version being planned... under Derek's new video game company Mossmouth. Maybe that mean less time/attention for Bit Blot?

Mahoyo Delayed Till 2010 Thanks to PS3, Cross Days Delayed As Well

So Type-Moon Ace Vol.3 was released a while ago, and what's the big announcement? Mahou Tsukai no Yoru has been delayed until 2010!

The official reason goes something along the lines of "The delay was in part due to being over-optimistic about recreating a 13-year-old work, and in part because we can't suppress to our desire to pursue new stories." There was also words of the entire company working hard together to get the game done blah blah.

Hmm, okay, fair enough, guess TM pulled a Blizzard, will just have to look forward to both Mahoyo and Starcraft 2 in 2010.

And...We're Back! Momohime and Tentacles!

Yes! After months of inactivity, we're finally back! A few changes here and there though...first of all, we're no longer miscGamer! We are now Eclipse, woot! For now, the mG site will redirect to the new URL. The reason behind the change is... I no longer feel like making big, ambitious "do-all" sites anymore, all I want now is just a small blog where I post about interesting things, such as various kinds of games and so on.

So from now on, what you'll find here will likely include ramblings on indie games, doujin games, visual novels, Type-Moon, manga, anime, otaku stuff in general, and more games. So yeah, Eclipse is still going to focus primarily on games, but expect other goodies as well.
